Tony Lourens was born on the foothills of Table Mountain. He is passionate about mountains and over the past 40 years has climbed and hiked in many parts of the world. He has written countless articles and papers on climbing and mountain literature and has published several guides and instructional climbing books. He is also the editor of SA Mountain, South Africa's only dedicated climbing magazine.
Border Boulderers
Our team is dedicated to finding and establishing new and quality lines around the North East sandstone crags of Northumberland.
While there are more popular crags in Northumberland such as Kyloe, Hepburn and Bowden, the county has many undeveloped and lost crags with many new lines to be found! Currently expanding bouldering lines at the less developed crags such as Berryhill, Goats Crag and Dovehole Boulders, setting up 27 crags topos for Kyloe, as well as preparing to share some new locations in the area. Through using the 27Crags website and app, we are able to freely share detailed and multiple topo images of locations that may not fit into a crag guidebook.
We also respect the need for physical guidebooks, and love contributing to them.

A massive area, with large distances between decent bouldering areas. Worth visiting for the sport, alpine, ice and mixed climbing. Several good guides available for these - Google Bow Valley or Rockies Climbing and you can find 'em. Add the Ghost wilderness area to that.
Bouldering is the red-headed step-child of the more popular forms of climbing here. There is potential, but you need to be committed to find it.

Group of local climbers from Gandia dedicated to the promotion and rebolting of the Gandia area.
Glaros Bolt Fund - Kalymnos
Thanks to Steve Golley, founder of "The Send App" and Steve and Sue from the Glaros Snackbar, thousands of euro's have been raised for bolting and rebolting in Kalymnos.
In 2018, a collaboration between the Send, Glaros and 27 Crags emerged, resulting in great .premium topo's of Kalymnos on 27 Crags. These topo's are brought to you by these 3 partners and are kept up-to-date thanks to the passion and devotion of Steve and Sue at the Glaros Snackbar.
