My first trad lead ever 🥰 Didn’t feel scary and I ended up climbing it twice

2nd go, surprised that I sent. I used some holds on the right side of the arete but topped out with the gaston move on the front face, def felt like a 6c+ even that way.

I could sense Aarni, Carles, Martiska and Marianne’s traumas when I first saw this route. After Tapio’s spectacular on-sight and Pietu’s hard work on the wall I set out climbing with high hopes. But alas, already the first crux left me with despair and I hangdogged through the route despite my drastic meltdown and self doubt. But I couldn’t let this generational nor personal trauma stop me. After a long rest I knotted my rope again and clipped the anchor with unexpected ease.

An ugly send but who cares! The secret was in the toes.

Used a mix of Sari and Tea’s heelhook/toehook beta (thank you for the videos! 🫶🏻) and also invented some of my own. Sent in the beautiful Koivusaari autumn sunset.

2 stars, +1 because my first 7B! i really liked the movement in this one and there were lots of beta options for different kinds of climbers. thank you spotters 🩷

A visually very beautiful route! Variating climbing styles and betas

First attempt for this was Easter -20. There’s a tempting shelf on the left side of the crack, there are no eliminates here but I felt the climbing was more pure (and difficult) skipping it.

The original description is kinda weird. Suppose the ”as low as possible” instruction is for very tall climbers? I started from normal shoulder height.

Taskuvaras was wet so climbed this. I threw my shoes on top of the boulder so was motivated to top out.
