I top roped the route some months before Martiska’s send, but at the time leading it felt horrible, as if Aarni’s screams would have been recorded on the holds as a warning. Now something had changed; first I belayed Tapio when he showed me that it can be done without the slightest fear. After one incredulous try I managed to top it. I swear I saw a piece of skin on a crucial foot hold during the crux.
