Most routes have only been climbed by a few people. Do not hesitate to give your honest opinion about the grades.

Most sectors are oriented towards the northeast and go into the shade in the early afternoon. This makes Maizeret an ideal summer venue. Some sectors (left side of comfort zone in particular) will need a long time to dry and can be quite sandy. It is a good idea to bring a brush.

The style of climbing is usually quite bouldery with decent crimps and larger flat holds. There is not a lot of friction for the feet. Being tall and/or flexible helps.

Maizeret - Carrière de Gawday

The area is access sensitive!

“Carrière de Gawday”, waar het klimmassief van Maizeret ingericht is, ligt in de gemeente Andenne, langs de Rue de Gawday, ter hoogte van de woning n° 35.

Parkeren door klimmers kan langs de Rue de Gawday, op de plaats aangeduid op het plannetje. Zorg er voor op de klimsite steeds je lidkaart (KBF, CAB, UBS, NKBV of een erkende UIAA-federatie)bij je te hebben. Er wordt regelmatig gecontroleerd.

Groepen van meer dan 10 personen moeten vooraf de toelating vragen op het secretariaat van KBF (klimtoelating@kbfvzw.be)

Le parking des grimpeurs peut se faire le long de la Rue de Gawday, à l’endroit indiqué sur le plan.
Portez toujours votre carte de membre sur vous (KBF, CAB, UBS, NKBV ou fédération reconnue par l’UIAA). Un
contrôleur passe régulièrement.

Des groupes de plus de 10 personnes doivent au préalable demander l’autorisation au secrétariat du KBF (klim-
toelating@kbfvzw.be).

"Carrière de Gawday", where the Maizeret crag is situated, is located in the municipality of Andenne, along Rue de Gawday, at the location of house n° 35.

Climbers can park along Rue de Gawday, at the place indicated on the map. At the climbing site, make sure you always have your membership card (KBF, CAB, UBS, NKBV or a recognized UIAA-federation) with you. There will be regular checks.
