Tio Delikouras

Hanna gave me the honor to lead the crux pitches. Perfect introduction to Chamonix. Managed to drop a silver Petzl screwlock biner and a right foot TC Pro (size 41, previous model) to the gully while stumbling at the top of the second 6a pitch. Thinking of climbing La Piste Oubliée to search for my missing climbing shoe ;_;

Got lost on the approach, ended up bushwacking our way +100 meters down to reach the crag. The rock is quite sharp and the neighboring sixes have undesirable run-outs for the grade. This 7a was pretty nice moves-wise, but a couple of foot holds crumbled beneath me in the first few meters of the route (rest of the route seemed somewhat solid). Quite sharp holds, but still, a nice route. I suggest visiting here only after you have ticked the rest of the routes on Kalymnos.

Tried this last year, returned with crack gloves.

Very nice! Felt harder than the two 7a’s on the left, but maybe I was just tired.

Interesting and short crux sequence! Very nice! Normally I’d give one star but there are plenty of better routes that can be found from this sector.

I lead 1st and 3rd pitch. 1st pitch is really demanding as other has stated here. Bolting is airy, and the 5c’s were sharp. At the end of the last pitch, continue towards up&right (climbing couple of metres to the left from the easily visible rusty anchor bolts that are equipped with connective rope strands), squeeze into a mini-couloir and you’ll then find a plateau with your anchor. From there you can walk 10ish metres to the left (your back pointing to Telendos) and do the 80m rappel. Alternatively go further 150m following the cairns and do 2x35m rappels arriving at the sector Panorama.

Second go. I think it’s more sustained than Alkotest and I was more pumped than on Gullfaks the other day. Though wet/sandy rope might have made it feel heavier.

Surprisingly hard, smooth holds. Harder than Arion.

Arginonta valley: You climb either via the fixed rope or by climbing Naughty monkey (5c) up to the large ledge/balcony. The leftmost climb on it is Radiohead. Aris's 2019 guidebook edition has it.

Basically flashed but I might have tried the moves on top-rope on a previous trip or some shit so rp it is.

I had played around hang-dogging on this route 5 years ago or so being a total noob so now I had no real recollection of the details of the route. I was surprised being able to do it on my first go on this trip (in a terrible hangover too.. never climb overhang in hangover, kids..). Had some info about the holds on the top-part. Felt like a flash, but rules are rules.

Tried it once a week ago in the dark with a headlamp and shoulder-injury on a top-rope. Did it now on first go (or second go in total). Much easier when you can actually see the feet holds. Great route!

Second go. Might be a 7b for shorter people. For me felt like a 7a-7a+.

Did it barefoot for a more interesting experience.

A bit nasty

I was very tense while climbing it and milked the rests like it was the end of the world. Full on hero-mode.

Did it on my first lead-go after top-roping it once. It's still considerably harder than other 7a's nearby. At least stiff on kalymnian standards, felt like a "real" 7a.

Next to Kalyne.

My first 7b! Did it on my second go. Such a wild route!

Magmaficent route.

Feet are pretty slick but an excellent route anyway. Tried it on top-rope a long time ago and now cruised it up placing the draws, hell yeaaaaaaaa

Not sure if redpointed or one-hanged it on a previous trip but now it’s done for sure. Superb route.

Fell on OS, had to check out the moves a bit before I did it on my second go.

Got it with my second attempt (almost fell in the start because a hold broke ). Just beautiful, very fitting for a boulderer. Perfect route to end the trip with :))

To the middle anchor, which I heard is 7a but is soft. Very nice.
