Description

Vetteberget is one of the bigger crags in the area with more than 60 routes on different sections of the wall. The sectors are not far apart, but they all offer something specific and different from the other ones. The routes on the Main Wall are long and adventurous, The Left-Wall is steep and unforgiving, and Klåvan is a narrow ravine where it always stays nice and cold even on hot summer days. At a first visit it can be difficult to get an overview and navigate between the different sectors.

The granite is of excellent quality. Smooth and beautifully water polished, but still with good friction.

There is an artists workshop and exhibitions where you park your car. A visit here is highly recommended and there is also a café where you can enjoy fresh bred, homemade cakes and other goodies after a long day of climbing.

History

The first routes at Vetteberget where climbed 1984 and it has since then seen waves of development. There are many walls and hidden sections of walls in this area, so there might still be more to be explored.
