Description

Vertical or slightly overhanging climbing on bolts.

The crag faces to the west and catches sun after midday. It can get very hot in summer but a few trees in front of the crag offers some shade for the belayer. Most routes dry quickly after rain.

History

Smålinden had been known for climbers at least since 1997, when the first routes on the crag were established then, but it was first after the thick forest in front of the crag was cut year 2011 that the real development started with Said Belhaj and Jens Larssen as the most prominent route creator. Unfortunately the relationship with the landowner deteriorated eventually leading to the total ban of climbing at Smålinden (all hangers were removed and bolts were cut). The crag was banned until 2023 when the local climbing club reached an agreement with the new landowner opening the crag to the climbing community. A number of volunteers (mostly Carl Johan Svensson, Petter From and Stefan Norman) invested time and money in rebolting the crag.
