Description

Pikku-Siuntio is a great addition to the rope climbing in the metropolitan area. There aren't many routes, but the average quality of routes is very high. The type of climbing here is technical, steep sport climbing on a 10-13 m high cliff face. The rock type is smooth granite. The cliff faces south-west, but is located on a slope and is shaded by the trees, such that there is barely any sun. Thus some routes require multiple days to dry.

History

Pikku-Siuntio is one of the more recent additions to capital area climbing. As such, there isn't lot to tell history wise - most logical lines were set up in 2006 and 2007 by Peter Hammer and Martin Nugent. The newest two routes were added by Samuel Hammer in 2011.
