Description

One of the fastest drying crags in Finland. Usually possible to climb very early in the spring and very late in the season. Nalkkila is smooth and slabby friction climbing at its finest!

During summertime the crag dries very fast. In the spring there can be some seepage due to snow melting. The sun stops shining at 17.00 so it's also possible to climb in the evening on a hot summer day.

History

Nalkkila was found in 2005 and the first naturally protected routes date to that time. Nalkkila became really popular in 2013 and 2014 once most of the slabs were bolted with beefy SKIL glue-ins.
