This crag is located upon a hill around the village "Leienfels" in the middle of nowhere. It's fast accessible from Motorway A9 though. Take exit #46 and drive to "Betzenstein". Go ahead towards "Pottenstein". You'll get to the village "Weidenhüll" after 8.6 km from Motorway. Take the 1st road left towards "Leienfels". After 1.15 km you pass a parking to your right just before the village around the next corner. Park here.
🚶♂️
Leienfelser Block:
Follow the road into the village and turn left after a few meters onto the hiking trail (yellow cross) just before the tavern. Go ahead until you reach a crossing next to a yellow bench after 160 meters. Go ahead down the forest road for about 180 meters, the sector is next to the forest road to your right.
Leienfelser Turm.
Follow the road into the village and turn left after a few meters onto the hiking trail (yellow cross) just before the tavern. Go ahead until you reach a crossing next to a yellow bench after 160 meters. Go ahead for 80 meters and branch off right and walk along the edge of the forest next to the lawn. There's an overgrown foot path in the forest parallel to the lawn, as well, but that's hard to find. After 180 meters turn left 90 degrees, you might already see the small tower.
Leienfelser Pfeiler:
Follow the road into the village and turn left after a few meters onto the hiking trail (yellow cross) just before the tavern. Go ahead until you reach a crossing next to a yellow bench after 160 meters. Turn right and right again after 80 meters. Further 240 meters ahead the sector is just next to the hiking trail.
Ruine Leienfels:
Either go to "Leienfelser Pfeiler" and go ahead the hiking trail for 150 meters. The crag is to your right accessible by a small foot path.
Or go straight into the village from parking and follow the main road until you reach a hunting lodge. go around that house and go up the road towards the castle ruin. Take a path to the left of the castle's wall. That path leads down to the base of the sector.
