⛰️Le Manie is an extraordinary climbing area, a plateau suspended between Finale and Spotorno that hosts an exceptional concentration of routes, set in a wild, panoramic natural environment. Climbing here takes on a thousand shades: from the easiest lines, perfect for beginners, to legendary and extremely hard routes that have never been repeated since the historic first free ascent, such as Catmaker by Klem Loskot, a line that still commands respect today.
The symbolic sector of the area is Museo dell’Uomo, a true icon of Le Manie. Its steep, overhanging routes are carved into compact brown limestone and follow generous holds across a spectacular roof. The climbing here is physical and powerful, yet always fascinating for its beauty and flow.
Another mythical name is *Monolocale*, which represents the very essence of Finale’s high-end climbing: short, explosive routes that pack incredible intensity into just a few meters. Every move is a battle of strength and precision — pure energy condensed into stone.
Around these main sectors, there are several smaller crags such as Mesa Verde — also steep but more accessible — and Mammut, Paguro, Airone, and others, where the climbing is more friendly and suitable for all levels. The approaches are easy and well-marked, and the atmosphere on the plateau — surrounded by woods, silence, and the sea on the horizon — makes Le Manie one of the most fascinating and complete climbing areas in the entire Finale Ligure region.

⛰️Le Manie sono un comprensorio straordinario, un altopiano sospeso tra Finale e Spotorno che ospita una concentrazione eccezionale di vie, racchiuse in un ambiente naturale unico, selvaggio e panoramico. Qui l’arrampicata assume mille sfumature: si passa dalle linee più semplici, perfette per chi muove i primi passi sulla roccia, fino a tiri durissimi e leggendari, mai ripetuti dopo la storica libera, come Catmaker di Klem Loskot, una linea che ancora oggi incute rispetto.
Il settore simbolo del comprensorio è Museo dell’Uomo, vera icona delle Manie. Le sue vie strapiombanti, scolpite nella roccia marrone e compatta, si muovono su prese generose attraversando un tetto spettacolare. L’arrampicata qui è fisica e potente, ma sempre affascinante per estetica e continuità.
Un altro nome mitico è Monolocale, che rappresenta l’essenza dell’alta difficoltà finalese: vie brevi, esplosive, incredibilmente intense. Ogni movimento è una lotta di forza e precisione, condensata in pochi metri di pura energia.
Attorno a questi settori principali si trovano altre falesie più tranquille come Mesa Verde, anch’essa caratterizzata da linee strapiombanti ma accessibili, e Mammut, Paguro, Airone, etc dove l’arrampicata diventa più amichevole e adatta a tutti i livelli. Gli accessi sono comodi e ben segnati, e l’atmosfera che si respira sull’altopiano — tra boschi, mare all’orizzonte e silenzio — rende Le Manie uno dei luoghi più affascinanti e completi dell’intero comprensorio di Finale Ligure.

⏪⌚The history of Le Manie began in 1992, when Renato Delfino and Lorenzo Cavanna started bolting Museo dell’Uomo, using resin-coated tension anchors, a pioneering technical choice for the time. This marked the beginning of the development of the entire area.Mesa Verde, on the other hand, also dates back to the 1990s and was the result of a joint effort by Cavanna and Delfino. It stands as one of the first examples of steep climbing in the area. The expansion phase of the Le Manie plateau is still ongoing, with new sectors and routes continually being developed, confirming it as one of the most active and complete climbing areas in the entire Finale Ligure region.
Between 2006 and 2008, Domenico Spattari entered the scene, opening and equipping the routes of Monolocale, raising the technical and athletic standards of the crag to a new level.
From 2012 onward, Giorgio Delfino took up the torch, continuing the work of exploration and equipping many new crags in the surrounding area until 2023, contributing significantly to the growth of the Le Manie climbing complex.
Over the years, the area has seen the presence of true legends such as Christian Core, Klem Loskot who have each left their mark on the crags of Le Manie with their vision, strength, and talent.

⏪⌚La storia delle Manie inizia nel 1992, quando Renato Delfino e Lorenzo Cavanna iniziano ad attrezzare Museo dell’Uomo, utilizzando terminali di tendi cavoresinati ,una scelta tecnica pionieristica per l’epoca. Questo segna l’inizio dello sviluppo del comprensorio. Mesa Verde, invece, risale anch’essa agli anni ’90, frutto del lavoro congiunto di Cavanna e Delfino, e rappresenta uno dei primi esempi di arrampicata strapiombante della zona. La fase di espansione del comprensorio è tuttora in corso, con nuovi settori e vie che continuano a nascere, consolidando Le Manie come una delle aree più vive e complete del Finalese.
Tra il 2006 e il 2008 entra in scena Domenico Spattari, che apre e chioda le linee di Monolocale, portando il livello tecnico e atletico della zona a nuovi standard.
A partire dal 2012, è Giorgio Delfino a prendere in mano il testimone, proseguendo il lavoro di valorizzazione e aprendo numerose falesie nei dintorni fino al 2023, contribuendo in modo decisivo alla crescita dell’intero comprensorio.La zona negli anni ha visto passare leggende come Christian Core, Klem LosKot che hanno lasciato l'indelebile segno del loro passaggio
