Description

The crag Lackenkopfwand consists of four different sectors: Lackenkopfwand, Tunnelwand, Blauer Tumpf Platte, and Blauer Tumpf. If you enjoy slab and vertical climbing, you've come to the right place :)
The Blauer Tumpf is the only sector in which there are four overhanging routes.

The Lackenkopfwand and Tunnelwand sectors face South/East and can be climbed from October until April, provided the Maltahochalm street is passable despite the snow. Make sure to bring your snow chains. The Blauertumpf sector is climbable from May to October. It's located next to the river, hidden and somewhat challenging to find, but it offers a beautiful place to climb and swim during the summer. If you can tolerate the heat, you can also climb here in the summer and cool down in the natural swimming pool, Blauer Tumpf. If you get hungry after climbing, the Gmünder Hütte is not far away and offers excellent Austrian food. Furthermore, the Lackenkopfwand, Tunnelwand, and Blauer Tumpf Platte sectors are family-friendly.

Attention: No signal! Download the map beforehand.

Have fun climbing! And don’t be stupid.*
