🧗♂️ Hanö is a small pittoresque island outside the north-east coast of Skåne, with plenty of boulders! This magical place is a perfect refuge during hot summer days when the forests in the mainland are filled with mosquitos and the rocks become close to unclimbable. The scenery here is stunning and the view of the ocean as well as a cooling breeze always present – enabling summer sends! Almost all boulders are of medium height (2-3m) with very good landings (well suited for children) and great, sometimes water-polished rock-quality. Several of the granite outcroppings are also steep with physical climbing on larger holds, most prominently "Drakens grotta". This is Hanö's most classic and problem-dense sector with athletic and powerful lines on the islands best stone!
Alongside the climbing there're lots of possibilities for hiking in the varying environment and many secluded swimming spots in the vast sea. On the island there also lives a large deer population which can be seen scurrying in between the trees, so make sure to keep dogs on a leash if you bring them! Finally, as you probably can tell Hanö's a special place, not just for the climbing but also for the calm island-atmosphere – it is somewhere you can go to get away from the world for a bit!
