🚗 Driving Directions:
From Fayetteville, drive north on WV-16, heading straight through the intersection with US-19. Drive about 7 miles, cross a bridge over the (much reduced) New River and park in the paved lot immediately to your right.

🚶‍♂️ Hiking Drections:
From the parking lot, locate the small trail near the entrance to the lot heading up the hill (as if you're going to Cotton Top Cliff). After you get in the woods, you'll come to the first switchback in the trail. The main trail heads right. Instead of taking the switchback, go straight ahead (left) on the faint, flat trail. The first boulder you'll see will be the Half Moon Tilt Boulder. Cut up the hill beyond ot for the rest of the boulders.

🚶‍♂️The Cave: Alternatively, if you're just going to The Cave and/or Dirty Slot Boulder, you can follow the main Cotton Top Cliff approach trail to the top then head left. The trail is steep and poorly maintained though well traveled. Between boulders are some rocky sections. Total hiking time: 5 -15 minutes.
