Parking can be particularly difficult around the Ogwen Valley and at time of writing, many cars are being towed after parking on the side of the road. During busy periods, this can be further intensified by the popularity of walking around Llyn Idwal and onto the Glyderau. There is a small pay and display car park near the Idwal Cottage visitor centre or further parking in lay-bys along the A5 towards Capel Curig.

From the Idwal Cottage visitor centre, take the obvious path leading up towards Llyn Idwal (do not take the path through the ravine known as Tin Can Alley). Cross the bridge and continue on the path, following it to the right, almost up to Llyn Idwal. At the first small rock buttress on your left following the big right turn, come off the path and skirt the bog to it's right, heading towards the obvious cluster of boulders beneath Y Gribin.

The boulders are predominantly in two sectors: the right as you approach including Raging Bull and the left on approach containing The Punk.
