We like The Airstrip (Waitomo)

Fantastic views of the snowcovered volcanoes frame the bucolic scene of the boulder-strewn Stubbs farm. Vertical, fluted limestone boulders of all heights stretch across the high bands of the farm, all with perfect landings on grass, chamomile, and catnip. Call for permission from the farmers before visiting, leave dogs at home, do not molest livestock, and leave gates as you find them.
