No special access issues
Vega, along with the rest of the Vega archipelago has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004. Activity here should (as always) be done with as little lasting impact to the environment as possible. Don't cut down trees and try to use already welltrodden paths. At the moment there are no acces restrictions and a good ralationship with the local community.
🚗 To get to Sundsvoll once you are on the island of Vega, you take the road towards "Gladsatd" which is the main hub of Vega. Continue straight through town onto Vallaveien and just follow this. After a little while you'll see signs directing you to Sundsvoll, but it's literaly just to follow the same road as it winds and turn into a gravel road as it heads south along the coast. Here you'll find two big parking spots and toilet facilities.
🏃♀️The main sectors are reached from the southern most parking (the one without the huts). From the car walk uphill on the small crest on the right side of the gravel dugout. Once at the top of this head a little left and you should be able to see the trodden path that leads you to the big boulder. Use this big guy to orient yourself when venturing further in.
