Description

Regina del lago is a wonderful crag located at the entrance of the Ledro valley. It offers both sport and multi-pitch routes, suitable for beginners and more experienced climbers. The major part of the routes goes from the fifth grade to the sixth, but there are also some 7a’s, 7b’s and even one 8a. The climb is mainly vertical on grey rock.
The base of the crag is comfortable but it is recommended to bring the helmet, cause rocks could fall from the above wall.
According to the above picture (which shows also a detail of the approaches), 1st wall and 2nd wall offer the multi-pitch routes, while A, B, C, D and E have the sports routes. The top outs of the 1st and 2nd walls multi-pitches are very close to the approach path of sectors B, C, D and E. Take this path to come back to the car. Also sector C has some short multi-pitch routes. Their top out is close to the approach path of sector A.
The brand new sector Rock and wall is completely different! Demanding routes on overhanging terrain with grades above 7a. The lines follows tufas and have great rock. Equipment is good and new.

The name of the crag means queen of the lake for a good reason: visit Regina del lago and enjoy the awesome landscape over Garda lake.

History

The crag was bolted by a huge amount of climbers, who equipped also the multi-pitch routes. Other long routes still continue to have birth. Among the bolters we remember: E. Cigalotti, M. Santi, R. Marchi and D. Falcone.
Rock and wall sector was bolted by Gianni Trentini and friends in 2019.
