🧗♂️ Panshamn is a newly developed area with tons of boulders located nicely in the open forest and along the calm lake. What makes the climbs here stand out are—except for the great rock quality—the varied formations which create tricky and interesting problems to solve! The whole of Panshamn is quite large, but you rarely have to walk far thanks to the shear amount of rock throughout the area. There's even a painted circuit which tie the blocs together with 76 easy yet enjoyable climbs (more on that below). The lakeside rocks dry quickly which is nice on damp days, whilst some of the stones further into the forest can seep for a while. Most of the lines are of moderate difficulty (circa up to 6C), although having said that the gradings in the south and around these parts in particular can be kinda stiff – so keep that in mind. You have to walk a few hundred meters along the main path to the first blocs and then some more to the farthest sectors — and even though there's scarcely any trails among the stones, the terrain is open and easy to pass through.
🧗♂️ Leingaryd is an adjacent sector/area located on the other side of the road. It's smaller and slightly less accessible with more hidden gems than classics, so to speak. At the time of writing this place has become a bit overgrown, so it could be useful to bring a small saw and definitely a steelbrush.
⭕️ Anyone who's been to Fontainebleau knows of circuits, but not as many have tried them – actually tried them, not just climbed one number. It is a bit special and you need a different mindset, as opposed to the seemingly ubiqutous "climb as hard as possible" mentality within modern bouldering. Once you get used to circuit-climbing, it's really a lot of fun and very challenging as well as tiring. The circuit in Panshamn holds climbs of all styles, many "easy" one's may not be so simple if you don't know the tricks — a common discovery for those with a pointy grade-pyramid! In addition there's also a bunch of b-variants: harder lines which you can switch out certain numbers with for a tougher challenge! A full lap on the circuit, without deviating from the arrows is a demanding feat and a worthy challenge — it will require sound climbing abilities, a good mental game, pathfinding skills and naturally some endurance!
1 - 33 → a good place to start and a tricky challenge in and of itself
34 - 76 → the second part of the circuit, which is considerably more involved
Complete Lap → the complete difficult test and a splendid achievement
Complete b-Lap → a full lap with all the b-variants has not yet been done
A topo of the entire circuit is found under the sector "Topographic Overview + Circuit".
