Erittäin lyhyt lähestyminen. Keväällä Herneaho on ensimmäisiä kuivia paikkoja Joensuun lähellä. Tuuli kuivaa nopeasti mäen päällä olevat lohkareet. Mäen päältä ääni kantaa kauas, joten kiinnitäthän huomiota kiipeilevän porukan äänitasoihin.
