Description

⛔READ THE ACCESS INFORMATION FIRST⛔

This area is since 2020 a part of nature protection program that does not allow you to leave the paths. That will make climbing basically impossible. Respect this and chose another area instead! There are soon 30000 problems on 27crags in Fontainebleau to chose from.

La Mare aux Corneilles
Sure you heard about Pirouette Cacaouette, this enough is of course a good reason to visit the area. But there are a lot more around. This is a quiet and outspread area, you might meet someone at Pirouette, but often that's it. The other problems are though worth a visit. For a training day, have a look at Le toit Cornélien. This roof has more training problems than an average climbing gym, all roof climbs. The area is not really family friendly. Paths are somewhat non-existing for most problems. You can find problems stretching from really easy to 8A+, so most people can enjoy a few days in this area.

Here are some good ones to check out:

La Cicatrice de l'Ohm 8A+
Pirouette Cacaouette 7C
Rio Bravo 7C
Coup de Chaleur 7B
Tubique 7B
Climat-Tique 7A+
Grand Reef 7A
Jet Stream 7A
6 Clones 6C+
Le toit cornélien 6B+
Angleterre à Terre (debout) 6A+
Truel 5+

It's recommended to download this guide offline, reception is mostly bad around the area.

Mare aux Corneilles ⛔

Climbing is completely prohibited!

⛔⛔The area has been closed from autumn 2020 because of a nature protection program (IBR). The Integral biological reserves are protected natural areas without human intervention. It's forbidden to go over any fences or leave any marked paths and you might get fined doing so⛔⛔

When and if the area ever opens up again:
Park at the parking along the road D152. Take the path Route des petites maisons (Really not easy to see the sign). Check GPS to find the boulder of your choice.
