The beautiful area of Mandrea has some beautiful climbing sectors to offer.
The first one is Mappamondo, which collects about 30 routes ranging from 6a to 8c. This sector was discovered many years ago, but only in the last few years it has been improved and now features many great lines. The left part of the wall is slightly overhanging with many tufas. Right part is more vertical in the first half of the wall and has roofs on the top. The rock has a good grip and the base is comfortable.
Another interesting sector is called Mandrea. It is characterized by large tufas and some ledges. Climbing routes are generally long with many cruxes and good rests. Lines on the left are more continuous. The difficulties go around the seventh grade.
The routes of the Mandrea sector are well bolted as are all the ones equipped by Sauro Merighi.

The area of Mandrea, thanks to its altitude of over 600 meters, is generally a bit colder than the valley floor.
The large lawn of Mandrea is a nice area for the children and to spend a nice day climbing. Please respect the place as it is private and do not abandon garbage.

History

Mappamondo was discovered by the Alto Garda financiers, then it has been forgotten for many years. In the Summer of 2019, local climbers Francesco Morandi and Stefano Piva rediscovered the potential of this wall and started bolting many new interesting lines, giving it a new life. Lately other routes on the right were equipped by Mauro Mabboni and Sauro Merighi, tireless bolter of the Alto Garda valley and also father of Mandrea sector in the nearby. Some routes of Mandrea sector were also equipped by B. Soardi.
Mandrea is also known for the "Mand'Stock", a great and famous music festival that lasts 4 days in summer. It takes place in the large lawn used as car park for the crag
