No special access issues
Approach:
From the small town Lofer drive up narrow road to Loferer Almen (it turns into a toll road aftre a few kilometers, 10,-EUR fee as of July 2017 - it is able to pay with ticket in upper restaurants.). Park at the end of the toll road Gasthaus "Schonblick"
Start of the route:
Go southwards towards "Lachfeldschneid" until a pond (15 min), first on paved, then on dirt road. Turn right just before the pond and shortly afterwards turn left and follow a broad trail. Leave this trail at a carin and follow a small trail for a few meters to the rucksack depot at the edge of the cliff (approx. 30 min in total). Abseil 2 times (chains) abd go westwards at the base of the cliff towards sector "Tanzboden" (approx. 10 min).
Von Lofer auf der Mautstraße zur Loferer Alm fahren (10,0 EUR). Konditionsstarke
können natürlich auch mit dem Mountainbike die Loferer Alm erklimmen (800 Hm, ca. 2 Std.).
Parken beim Haus Schönblick. Dem Weg zur Lachfeldschneid folgen. Nach ca. 15 Min. erreicht
man einen Tümpel. Davor dem Weg nach rechts folgend auf einen Sattel. Hier links, über die
Almwiese dem (meist feuchten) Weg folgen. Immer geradeaus südwärts, bis man im lichten
Wald oberhalb der Wand die Abseilpiste über die Route "Graues Buch" erreicht (80 Hm, ca. 30
Min.). 2 mal 50m abseilen. Am Wandfuß gemütlich zu den Einstiegen. Bei starkem Andrang
kann man auch über die „Vive“ abseilen. Am rechten Rand des Urlkopf kann man auch durch
Schrofen auf- bzw. absteigen (Notaufstieg!, II).
