Lots of quality boulders in many nice locations. Developed over the past 27 years by Chris Hamper a teacher at UWCRCN. Follow signs to UWC or Haugland Rehab centre from Flekke. Bring a wire brush as moss grows fast. Landings are all good. This is just a selection of the best.
Note: The sports crag Raudbua is also included. Here you can find Norway's shortest 8a, Vesle Daniel (bouldering with a rope).
When I first visited the campus of what was to be the Red Cross Nordic United World College I couldn’t help but notice all the bouldering opportunities. Luckily the architect was sympathetic to the environment and built around them rather than through them. During the passing 25 years I have pretty much climbed everything up to 7B, with most of the development hovering around the 7A+ level. When looking for new problems one tends to look for ones that are at your limit, they wouldn’t be problems otherwise, this means that I have walked past many boulders that were too easy. Turns out this was a good strategy, now my top level is in the 6’s there are still hundreds of problems waiting to be done.
