Description

The topos in this crag combine the South Facing sectors on the right bank of the Segre in what is generally known as Camarasa.

🧗‍♂️ El Túnel (L'Aiguabarreig)
Description: This recently equipped sector has become very popular. The routes are quite short and it is possible to complete many climbs in a single day.
Orientation: southeast — shade later in the day.

🧗‍♂️Mongetae
Description: A nice sector with a good selection of routes, mostly in the 6th grade.
Orientation: southeast. Note: although this sector has an orientation of southeast, it lies so deep in the canyon that during the winter months it stays permanently shaded.

🧗‍♂️El Solarium
Description: This wonderful sector is one of the finest in Lleida! Hardly any of the routes are poor and many of them are exceptional!
Orientation: southeast.

🧗‍♂️La Cova de L’Escaleta
Description: A magnificent sector for people climbing between 5 and 7a, which is situated just to the south (left) of El Solarium and shares most of that sector’s approach.

Orientation: southeast.

Approach: from the village of Camarasa continue driving north on the C-13. Cross the Pont del Pastor road bridge and pass through 2 tunnels, one each side of the dam wall of Camarasa reservoir. Approximately 200m beyond the second tunnel there is ample parking on both sides of the road (the 'new' P4) but at weekends this can quickly fill up. The only alternative is to turn around and drive back down the C-13 to a large parking area 350m north of the Pont del Pastor road bridge. From P4, walk back through the first tunnel, across the dam and through the second tunnel. At the tunnel's exit there are two choices: 1) For sectors El Túnel and Mongetae, climb over the crash barrier on the left approximately 20m beyond the tunnel's exit, then follow a path leading back left to reach the right-hand side of El Túnel (10 minutes fro P4). For Mongetae, follow the path running below sector El Túnel until directly below the large arch, then branch right and take a narrow trail leading first downhill and then back rightwards to the sector (15 minutes from P4). Note: there are natural springs below sector Mongetae.
For sectors El Solarium and La Cova de l'Escaleta: approximately 20m after exiting the tunnel step over the crash barrier on the right (directly opposite the access point for El Túnel) to reach the start of a well-marked footpath leading diagonally up the hillside. This path is extremely exposed in places and is totally unsuitable for small children!!! After approximately 200m a side path leads uphill to the right-hand side of El Solarium (15 minutes from P4). For the central and left-hand side of the sector it's best to keep on the lower path for a while longer. For La Cova de l'Escaleta: continue along the lower path for a further 5 minutes before a fixed rope helps overcome a short, vertical wall and the path reaches the right-hand side of the sector (20 minutes from P4). Note: a narrow terrace links La Cova de l"Escaleta with El Solarium, meaning it is not necessary to return to the lower path when moving between the two.
