Description

Visible from far away, this impressive wall of sweeping tufas and vertical grey slabs makes for a perfect stop on the way to or from Leonidio.
With its west-facing orientation, climbing is best enjoyed in the morning. A short approach, mostly flat belay areas, and a wide spread of grades make this one of the most convenient and enjoyable sectors to include on a Peloponnese road trip.
The main downside, however, is the extensive chipping and manufacturing of holds. Many of the central lines were artificially altered, with drilled and glued holds lowering the natural difficulty to around 8a. Unfortunately, this approach, initiated by Andy Long (UK) when he began developing the sector in late 2019, has compromised the rock’s natural character.

History

Andy Long began equipping the wall at the end of 2019 and continued into the following year. Two additional lines were established by Micha Schreiber, and about a year later Climb Greece added several easier routes in between and on the far left.
