FA, needs some more brushing

How is this a v4? When I went here the first time I was told it was a V1 and it’s also the down climb. I’ve been down climbing it ever since.

Flash the start but I had done the finish prior. I used the high left heel hook start from Peter Li which definitely makes this easier. Soft 8 this way?

Pretty tough for a 4. Landing is a bit scary and the rock here is oh so slick.

I was gonna suggest a downgrade but then my buddy got shut down. I can’t tell my level but I think it’s a softie haha! Cool moves, I used a ladder to clean the top and there’s no way I could have done this without cleaning the top first. It will require this every season unfortunately.

I'd love to take an 8 for this, but to be honest, I flashed it improv style with a partially blown shoulder near the end of my session. No where near the difficulty of bat cave, and likley easier than the V6 around the corner on Gradient boulder. Really nice/fun lowball, highly recommend!

This is a great boulder, but I found it harder than the V8 around the corner so I'm just gonna propose a slight upgrade. Maybe easier if you're 6'+, I'm 5'10" with +2 ape. The lip pull is a bit scary, so I'd recommend getting up there to brush it first and make sure you know where the holds are. Lip pull at ~14', perfectly flat landing.

I did this as a sit start and it feels by far the easiest v4 on this block so I'm gonna say v3. If you can crimp a 3/4 pad incut iron edge, it's an easy one mover to the top.

V6 with a traverse start from the Slitty Titty starting jug I think. I'm glad this trends left to avoid falling into that tree. Tall but landing is good.

Nice harder addition to an already classic boulder. Fun pop to the top. Great work Xavier!

It's alright, but the landing is mostly a no fall zone and the rock is perpetually dirty. I wouldn't recommend this if V5 is near your limit.

This took a surprising 3 sessions, because it took me that many to understand the method. In the end it was much easier than expected, but you should try without the video first!

Really enjoyed the calf and ankle benefits of down climbing this!

Reach dependent difficulty. There's probably an easier method if that mossy patch got brushed where the topo line is drawn. But sticking to the arete seems to tough to call v4 with my method. I could see v5 or 6

I heard this was a V4 that feels like a V5 then I got on here to see it's a sandbagged V3 haha! Whatever it's classic, grade is reach dependent.

Psyched to flash on a humid day! Thought it might be soft, but after playing around more, I think I just tried hard and got lucky

I like it but wouldn't recommend to most of my V4 climber friends due to the topout crux. If you have good technique it and don't slip it's fine. There's a handjam to rest on before the commitment.

Dyno to meathook is so satisfying! Inverted fist jamb to top out was oh so special. This is a great boulder.

Only loses a star for the landing, this is a top notch boulder. Best not attempted if V6 is at/near your limit, there are some serious risks to falling. It seems pretty solid in the grade, not a softie.

Dope lowball! That diamond hold is amazing. It felt harder with the low start for sure. I've done harder v6s and easier v10s around here, guess I'll call it v8 :)

Likely FA of the full version, seemed logical and it drew me into the challenge, despite the broken crimps in the roof. Plus I could not do the big reach on Captain Flint without hitting my face on the lip, so this was the better way to get to the top for me. When I did this, there were 3 holds to choose from (which may break further in the future). There was a tooth you could pinch in the middle, a broken smaller crimp on the left, and a slightly deeper but narrower crimp on the right. I chose the little tooth pinch for the left hand but it could be done with any of them.

Cool! The mantle on the left side of the point is tricky, but makes this line feel more complete.

That flexy flake is scary... I'd suggest topping out on the right side of the point for the V2 grade. Topping out left of the point where the image shows is more appropriate for the V5.

Pumpy!

Hard one, seems morpho for my method, which was the same as the Matt Jones beta vid. The reach into the far away jug felt hard for the grade even with knee pad. Otherwise a cool route and great finish. I heard others calling this a 9 but I’ll go with v8 personal

360 beta to avoid holding the swing over the precipice! Really fun to work this one out. You can top out the right side of the overhanging face with a left hand side pull jug over the lip and lurch to a horizontal edge on the slab, brush holds from the ramp first!

I think I did this the right way? Felt almost as hard as Free Candy for me.

Found a static method with left heel and pulling through on the face slimper to avoid the foot cut. However, in the end the dyno was easier from the start. My longest V7 proj, hard V8 IMO

V9+ IMO with walkoff finish. I think the finish adds quality, but I understand dropping if its wet above. If you can avoid the painful cut loose it's more enjoyable!

This may have been done before but I haven't seen it published. Anyway, originally thought it would be easier than it was. Initially called it v5, but after seeing others struggle I went with v6. To be confirmed.

3 stars if not for the landing. Need a lot of pads, and ideally a strap to hold them in place on the ramp. Luckily, the crux is above a flat spot and topout is chill!

Started with both hands below roof, first move is what makes it V7. But, starting this way is not ideal. I'd recommend starting with the right hand in the sidepull slot above the roof for a better version of the climb, around V6.

Lowball!!!

I thought Kermit was v7/8, now a solid v8 with this lower start. It's like a dabby v2 into the crux of kermit, better than the original IMO.

Stand starting this would certainly be easier than V5, but the run and jump (or just jump) is a pretty cool challenge to try. As an outdoor climber I never do this, so it felt intimidating.

Really great climb, low in the grade especially if you're tall

The extension climbs well, and makes the fin to fin move a true crux, coming 8 moves into the route rather than right away. Adds to the quality of the line IMO, but oh so many pads - 9 for me. 22 hand moves and the kneebar rest is smack dab in the middle of them, power endurance classic!

One trick pony, but definitely not a turd! I'm not sure about the locking off method described, but this can be done as a really cool "flip to a press" move by starting on the crimps with your right foot way out on the fin of geometric equation. Grab the crimp up right, then flip left hand to a press and stick the lip. Kind of a modern gym boulder move this way that's rare to find outdoors.

Classic, only needs 2-3 pads. Low end V8, very physical.

One of the best for sure. Low end V9 in good conditions. It saw lots of quick sends the day I did it. Low crux to enduro roof climbing and a spectacular finish.

Really cool. Entry level for folks above 5'10"ish. The shorter beta looks quite hard though.

Low end V8 or V7 with a fight the dab crux. Some cool moves though. At least one thin pad recommended.

Very hard for V6 IMO, but nothing wrong with a good sandbag. Sharp too, devours the skin. Too tall though. No fall zone up there no matter how many pads you have. Just don't. All honesty I dropped off after the crux rather than taking the risk of the easier topout after watching Phatjones crush it. I assessed the consequences of a fall from the lip and decided they were not worth it to me. I'd recommend this boulder even if you choose to drop off like me lol.

I did the v7 and v8 faster lol. But this really comes down to good beta and precision... Great climb

Kind of a one move wonder, but what a sloper! May feel hard for some, but I think v3 is right if this suits you

1 move wonder. The much easier V4 on this boulder, if you can figure out the tricky move.

Great for a traverse! I'm only calling it V4 because some V4's are really hard, and this is one of them.

Love a good enduro line, classic movement all the way to the finish. I rested a long time in the kneebar for this one ;)

I was told it was a v7 but that didn't seem right. Could be v5. sketchy top out not worth it, I dropped from the lip after breaking some choss and choosing to walk home on 2 legs
