No special access issues
From Svolvær, follow the E10 towards Leknes. Before Leknes take a right on the 825 road towards Uttakleiv. After 1,5 km, at a 90 degree bend, you can choose either of the following: Take a right and follow the dirt road along the Vikvatnet lake, over the Einangen col and down to the twin beaches at Haukland, or continue on the 825 for another 2,3 km, take a right and follow the 990 road around the mountain of Holandsmelen. After 4,6 km you reach the crossing where the dirt road from Einangen comes down. From this junction, follow the 990 past the Haukland beach and through the Uttakleiv tunnel. 550 m after the tunnel exit take a left and
follow the road up to the parking. Nowadays you have to pay for parking camping here and most likely you will share the beach with quite a lot of tourists. All parking should be done at the main parking area, even if you’re heading to Uttakleiv North.
