Terms of Use
These Terms of Use apply to the content and use of the Internet service (hereafter the Service) provided by the Finnish company 27 Crags Oy (VAT registration number FI22084321) (hereafter 27 Crags) at the Internet address http://27crags.com. The user of the Service (hereafter the User) accepts these Terms of Use and commits to abide by them, when using or making use of the Service.
The Service as such is offered free of charge. The Service may contain parts that are subject to charge, in which case this information is always indicated. Users under the age of 18 can use the parts subject to charge on the Service only by consent of a legal guardian.
The 27 Crags Service consists of an Internet application, which collects and shares information about climbing locations. The Service also includes other applications and content aimed at climbers. The Content of the Service is specified in more detail on the Service Internet pages.
The User can send pieces of work, information, photographs and other material or contents (hereafter Content) to the Service. The User grants 27 Crags permission to edit, copy, publish or not to publish, make available or not to make available in part or in whole any Content, which the User has sent to the Service.
We allow robots, for instance Google and Yahoo! search engines, to collect information from the Service site, so that they can, in turn, publish information about our site on their Internet pages. When registering with the Service or sending Content to the Service, the User allows their name and the Content to be visible on the Service and on search engines.
(1) Using the Service
When registering with the Service, the User commits to provide 27 Crags with their legal full name and current email address. The User must not provide the Service with a false identity, misleading information or an email address that is not in their own personal use. The User agrees to inform the Service about changes to their personal details.
The user name is personal and the User has to be a private person. The User can create a team page for a company or some other kind of organization and invite several other users to the team page, but each user must have their own personal user name.
When the User creates their user name, they get their own page, where their name is visible at all times. The User can also choose other information to be visible on their page, which will then be visible to everyone. The User can post personal information and Content on their page, which they are fully responsible for.
The User agrees not to use the Service or any information they may have obtained from it for purposes that are illegal or in violation of good conduct, for instance sending unsolicited emails or for other similar purposes.
The User is responsible for actions that take place with their user name and password on the Service. They commit to carefully maintaining the security of their user name and password and not to handing them over to anyone. If the User suspects that an unauthorised person has got their user name and password, they must immediately change their password. The User agrees to inform 27 Crags immediately if they notice that unauthorised Content has been created with their user name on the Service, in which case 27 Crags may delete the content and the user name in question.
The User can invite a friend to join the Service by providing 27 Crags with the friend’s email address, in which case the friend receives an email from 27 Crags, where the User’s name is visible to the recipient. It is the User’s responsibility to make sure their friend is willing to receive the email. The User agrees to invite only their actual friends to join the Service and commits not to misusing the invitation procedure.
The User commits not to sending the Service Content which contains computer viruses or other similar malicious or harmful software.
27 Crags has the right, without giving prior notice or an explanation, to delete any Content or material which they consider is necessary to be deleted, for instance, Content or material which may be illegal, offensive, in violation of good conduct or incorrect, or if there is cause to suspect it offends the rights of a third party.
27 Crags has the right at any time to make the changes they wish to the Content and layout of the site without giving prior notice or an explanation and to discontinue access to the Service either in part or completely, or to definitively stop maintaining the Service. 27 Crags will attempt to inform the User about such changes.
The User can cancel their user account at any time by terminating their account on their profile page. When the account has been terminated, the User’s profile page will no longer be visible. Due to the termination of the account, 27 Crags has the right to delete or not to delete other Content the User has posted on the site, for example photographs or map markers.
(2) Respect other people's incorporeal rights and act according to good conduct
All Service Content such as articles, pictures, pieces of work and other material are protected by copyright laws. Copying, publishing, spreading or utilising the material in other ways without the creator’s permission is prohibited.
The User agrees to send Content to the Service on their own responsibility.
By uploading Content, for example pictures or text, on the site, the User grants 27 Crags the right to use, present, copy and forward the Content for further use in connection with the 27 Crags Internet site free of charge and for an unlimited period of time. The User also grants 27 Crags the right to edit, develop, translate and use Content, and to publish their full name with the Content created on the site.
The User is aware that when they upload Content, for example pictures or text, on the site, they are copying and publishing it. The User must make sure they have the copyright, permission from the creator or any other kind of permission necessary to copy and publish the material. 27 Crags is in no way responsible for the Content sent by the User.
The User is aware that when they send Content to the Service, a third party could unlawfully copy, spread or in other ways take advantage of the Content or a part of it. 27 Crags does not grant a third party permission to utilise the Content, nor is 27 Crags responsible if a third party, nevertheless, does so.
The User is responsible for the Content they upload on the site and commits not to sending any material to the Service that is inapplicable to the purpose of the Service or which could violate someone’s copyrights or other incorporeal rights or violate someone’s rights in other ways, be illegal or go against good conduct.
The User also commits not to sending Content to the site that could be inappropriate or offensive. The User must not attempt to prevent or hinder other Users from using the Service.
The User must make sure the Content they send to the Service is not infected by computer viruses or other malicious software.
It is not possible for 27 Crags to review the Service Content in advance.
All trademarks, service marks, and trade names that appear on the Service are proprietary to their respective owners. Using the trademarks without a specific permission from their owner is prohibited.
The Service and its Content are intended for the User’s personal use only.
(3) Links to other pages
The User is aware that 27 Crags does not actively check or maintain the content of the Internet pages it has links to. The User accepts that 27 Crags is not responsible for any part of the information and content on the Internet pages it has links to, nor is it responsible for the products or services the User acquires from these pages.
The User should direct any claims, complaints and reclamations they may have, concerning products or services ordered from pages the Service has links to, directly to the pages in question. In the event of a dispute 27 Crags has the right but is not obliged to take part in the dispute and its hearing in court.
(4) Giving out personal details
The User grants 27 Crags permission to process the personal details and company data they have made known to the Service for opinion surveys, market research, improving the Service and other similar purposes. In addition, the User can choose from the Service the option of receiving advertisements from 27 Crags or its partners, if they wish. However, the User’s contact information is under no circumstances sold for the use of 27 Crags’ partners.

(5) Limitation of liability
27 Crags is in no way liable for the Content or the correctness of the Content the Users have posted on the site.
In the event that any damage occurs to the User, 27 Crags is on no account liable for it. 27 Crags is not liable for indirect damage under any circumstances. At all events the liability of 27 Crags is limited to no more than the sum of money the User has paid for the Service.
27 Crags provides the Service as such and attempts to ensure the continuous operation of the site. 27 Crags is not liable for interruptions in or the discontinuation of the Service nor other types of failure or the applicability of the Service to a particular purpose. 27 Crags attempts to ensure the faultless operation of its software, but is not liable for damage caused by software bugs or other technical problems.
We do our best to prevent computer viruses, malware and other forms of harmful software from spreading through our Service. Should this, however, happen, 27 Crags is not liable for lost information or other expenses or damage.
This contract does not grant a third party permission to utilise the Content that users have uploaded to the Service.
27 Crags cannot guarantee that all Service Users act in an honest way. We prohibit anyone visiting our site from collecting email addresses or other information for direct marketing or for other similar activities.
(6) The validity of the Terms of Use and making changes to them
The terms of use are in force until further notice. 27 Crags has the right to make changes to the terms of use whenever by informing about the changes on the Service or sending the User a notification to the email address they have given when registering. The changes become effective immediately. The User is considered to have accepted the changes, if they continue to use the Service after information has been given about them.
If the User violates these terms of use, 27 Crags has the right, without giving prior notice or an explanation, to immediately terminate the User’s right of use and to deny them access to the Service.
(7) The governing law and disputes
This contract is governed by Finnish law, which is also applied to anything that may arise due to the Service. Disputes that arise owing to these terms of use are settled at the Helsinki district court or in the district court at the User’s place of residence. If the User is not a Finnish resident, disputes are settled at the Helsinki district court.
(8) Climbing is not always permitted and is dangerous
On these Internet pages we do not give any kind of permission to visit or go climbing in any area. The User must always make sure for themselves that they have the landowner’s permission to climb on the property.
We take no responsibility for the User’s actions based on information acquired from the site Content, nor do we take responsibility that the Content sent to the site is up to date.
Climbing is potentially hazardous and an accident can lead to severe injury or death. 27 Crags does not verify the correctness of the site Content. The User must always check the information, be careful, and keep in mind that they are fully responsible for their own actions.
(9) Contacting the Service
The Service User can contact 27 Crags by writing to the email address available on the 27 Crags Internet site.
We wish that Users send us feedback and suggestions for improving and developing our service or if they notice mistakes on the site.
