Description

This secluded valley hosts some very nice looking boulders. The rock is a special, grey and grainy granite with exceptional friction. Trolldalen have always played second fiddle to the sun drenched open landscape of the Kallestranda and Paradiset bouldering areas. But in many ways the conditions for bouldering here are better than those of the other two areas. If the weather's hot, Trolldalen can be your best option given its shaded aspect. On the other hand, if it's a chilly spring day Trolldalen can be freezing cold.
There is quite a lot of potential here, but some of the unclimbed lines need someone with a steady head. The approach from the parking takes about 5-10 minutes.

Note: Depending on the conditions wellies could be a wise choice of footwear for the approach.

History

Who has done what in Trolldalen remains unknown. Jonas Paulsson with some friends brushed some lines in 2015 that may have been climbed before. We'll just have to see if any of the earlier activists come forward.
