En la increíble biosfera de la reserva de Urdaibai se encuentra Ogoño, una de las paredes más impresionantes de la zona norte. Este muro se esta pegado a la playa de Laga, una de las más bonitas de Bizkaia.

⚠️RESTRICCIONES por nidificación de aves:
Zona A: Prohibida la escalada desde el 1 de marzo hasta el 15 de septiembre.
Zona B: Prohibida la escalada desde el 15 de enero hasta el 15 de septiembre.
Zona C: Prohibida la escalada todo el año.
Antes de acudir, informarse de las restricciones más actualizadas en la página web de la federación vizcaína de montañismo.

🪨Hay una amplia variedad de vías, estilos y grados. Todas de alta calidad.

👀Las vistas desde la pared son impresionantes.

👣Aproximación de 20 minutos. Cuenta una caminata y destrepe o rapelar desde la cima.

History

En el año 1974 se realizó la primera ascensión con la vía "Zornotza" una vía de 300m que hasta hace relativamente poco tiempo quedo en el olvido y no se sabía su existencia. De este modo, durante muchos años la vía "gaviotas" (1977) ha sido considerada la más antigua y más escalada a su vez.

🚗 Desde Ibarrangelu tomar la carretera hacia el cementerio. Aparcar al lado del cementerio.

Desde el parking tomar el camino que sube hacia la cima del cabo de Ogoño y justo antes de la última cuesta encontraremos un hito a nuestra izquierda para llevarnos al sendero que conduce al pie de vía. El inicio del acceso, es un destrepe con cuerdas fijas que nos lleva al inicio de prácticamente todas las rutas.

🇬🇧From Ibarrangelu take the road to the cemetery. Park next to the cemetery.

From the parking lot, take the path that goes up to the top of Cape Ogoño and just before the last slope we will find a milestone on our left to take us to the path that leads to the foot of the road. The beginning of the access is a downclimbing with fixed ropes that takes us to the beginning of practically all the routes.
