Best season to climb the central Waischenfeld sectors is from spring to Autumn. The right routes at "Moby Dick" get some sun before afternoon, so climbing can be possible on sunny winter days, as well.
💧 "Kindergarten" can stay pretty wet for a long time after long rain periods. "Freistein" dries quite fast but gets wet immediately when rain starts. The roofy section at "Moby Dick" stays dry, as well. Only the top out gets wet but once you've climbed the roof boulder you should be able to climb the top out under wet condition.

Even though there are only three sectors you get quite the full range of climbing. Especially "Freistein" is quite unique. Long positive slab climbing in higher grades (7c) is probably possible just here. "Kindergarten" offers good overhanging endurance climbing on pockets, typical franconian climbing above Waischenfeld. In the end there's a good roof boulder at "Moby Dick" belong some more routes graded around 7c.

All three sectors are suitable for kids in some way with certain disadvantages. "Freistein" is easily reachable with a buggy but the street is close. "Moby Dick" is good for Kids but not reachable with a buggy.
