Vinternberget

Climbing has been limited!

🛑 🐣 🌱 🛑 Volontary climbing ban from 1 March to July 15 due to sensitive wildlife on all walls except for ”Viltväggen”.

https://access.klatterforbundet.se/vinternberget/

What is a voluntary climbing stop?
Decisions on voluntary climbing stops are taken by the Bohuslän Climbing Club in consultation with relevant experts, such as ornithologists, Nordens Ark and the County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland. Climbing stops are taken to protect sensitive animal and plant life in Bohuslän during certain periods of the year. If these voluntary climbing stops are not respected, we risk formal climbing bans with legal sanctions.

Huvudväggen is under the regulation of Bohusläns Climbing Club´s bolt policy and no further bolting is accepted.

🚗 From the E6 turn off at Dinglemotet, exit 102. Turn toward Dingle and then left toward Fjällbacka onto road 163. Continue for 1.5 kilometers and turn right by a small white sign for ”Vinternberget” onto a gravel road and keep right past the house.

🅿️ Follow the gravel road to its end and park by the turning area.

🚶Huvudväggen is located above the parking area and the sector Viltväggen is about 600 meters back the road. Walk back along the road and take a right into the cut-up street through the thick forest to get there.
