History

The area is situated at the foot of a huge wall visible from the road going up to Alpicella, it’s easily recognisable due to the small chapel on the top. It’s the first of the areas in Varazze, it was discovered in 1999 by Marco and it has been frequented and graded since 2002 by the Monkey’s Club group (from Genoa). The boulders are very near one another and they’re easy to find. The area where the boulders are situated is a private property, and there have been several complaints because some climbers parked the car on the road blocking the passage, sometimes they lit fires, cut trees or left rubbish on the ground and for this reason the areas were about to be closed. Please, do not disturb the owners! We are all trying to achieve a compromise between them and the climbers.
