Description

Next to the Trooditissa River, this crag provides a peaceful location amongst the pine forest. With only a small number of climbs, it’s a worthwhile stop for a half day while exploring the Troodos area. Finish the day off in one of the many nearby rock pools.

Trooditissa is located within a mountain environment, so it’s important to be aware of your surroundings. Belays over the river may be insecure and care should be taken at all times while belaying. Helmets are essential due to potential rock falls.

Conditions

The two walls are southeast and south-facing and get afternoon shade. Trees beneath the climbs provide shade year-round and the cool river offers a welcome respite from the heat in the summer months.

History

There is a defunct military abseil platform above some of the routes. The platform is not maintained. Out of respect for a memorial for a tragic accident that occurred in 2021, please do not use this platform for abseiling into the climbs.
