Description

There are 73 routes divided in 3 sectors at Trellebystrand. The routes are both bolted, naturally protected and climbed on top rope.
The crags at Trellebystrand are very easily accessible and they are also perfect for the beginners who want to start leading on easy well protected routes.
There is also a small boulder for crags close to the reception and a bigger boulder close to the beach with 4 problems from 4 to 6A.
There is a nice beach which you pass on the way to sector Kalymnos.
There are also several activities for children at the camping (among them a water slide). These activities are free for the guests.
There is a toilet at the camping.

ASPECT AND CLIMATE
The crags are facing either southwest or northwest and dry rather quick. They are easy accessibly with flat area in front of them.

KALYMNOS
A rather small crag just by the sea.
The crag is facing both southwest and northwest getting sun accordingly. Most of the routes get dry quickly. During sunny summer days it can get really hot here.
Most of the routes here are slabby or almost vertical. There are both naturally protected and bolted routes here. The routes are 10-12 m high. It’s easy to go around the crag from the right.
Approach: From the parking lot follow the road into the camping and then the signs for the beach. At the beach keep right and you should arrive at the crag after some 600 m walk.

CAMPING
This area consists of two very accessible crags: Camping North and Camping South..
The crags are facing northeast and get sun in the afternoon. Most of the routes dry rather quickly (except for some cracks).
The routes are up to 13 m long and slabby or vertical. There are both naturally protected and bolted routes here. All routes are equipped with lower-offs.
Approach: From the parking lot follow the road onto the camping by the toilets and you should arrive at the first crag after some 250 m. The second crag is 50 m further down the road.

History

The first routes in the area were done in 2013. Most of the routes were put up between 2015 and 2020 by Fredrik Lundqvist (a local route developer from Lysekil) and Jens Larssen (mostly known as the creator of www.8a.nu).
