Description

Developed by Guillaume & Alban Boissard with the help of Fred Nicole in 2000, this small area consists of two large columns surrounded by a few boulders hosting some classic mid-range problems.

The French Side

The area is access sensitive!

CapeNature Areas (Public land). Daily R60, weekly R200 and monthly R750 permits for climbing. Permits can be bought online through climbing.co.za but it is recommended that you buy them on site at for example De Pakhuys, Traveller's Rest or Clan Williams tourist office. The permits are not limited so they will not run out.

The approach is shorter than people usually think, it's about 1500 meters. So the walk-in is between 15-20 minutes on easy terrain.

Park to Pass, after the gate, when walking downhill, take the first path to the right. Follow the path for a kilometer (1000m) and turn left. Follow the path for 150 meters and you'll see the boulders just before you. Take the path to the right, if you want to access the French Side Roof.
