This one’s a bit tricky, so take it step by step.
Step 1: Get to Vaskina
First, make your way to the village of Vaskina. At the Pano-Kato Vaskina crossroads, take the left turn (Kato Vaskina).
When you reach a small square with an old restaurant on your right, you’ll see a church on your left. Just before the church, take the road that soon turns into a dirt track.
Step 2: Drive the Dirt Road
Follow this dirt track for about 2.5 to 2.8 km, depending on where you prefer to park. The track condition may vary, so choose your parking spot accordingly.
Step 3: Choose Your Path
From the parking, you have two options:
To reach Solarium directly, head straight along the slowly fading dirt track until you spot a cemented pillar, which likely marks the high point of the ridge.
Stay to the left of the pillar, and descend via a series of natural, semi-steep steps to reach the upper end of the sector. The terrain is quite inclined, so be prepared for a steep downhill hike.
Alternatively, you can follow the ridge between the two sectors and decide whether to head left or right, depending on which one you want to climb at.
To do this, leave the dirt track close to the parking and follow an old path that likely once led through terraced fields. The trail is marked with cairns, so keep your eyes open and watch for the stone markers as you make your way along the ridge.
