🇬🇧
From the highway exits of Angri, Castellammare di Stabia, or the SS 268, follow signs for Lettere.
One option is to head toward Gragnano and then drive up to Lettere; alternatively, you can go straight toward the castle by taking Via Lettere and Via Pagliano, a steep and narrow road.
Once in the village of Lettere, follow signs for the castle and the cemetery.
When you reach the cemetery, park in the open area on the right, marked with a 🅿️ on the map.
From there, walk along the road to the right until you pass under a wooden structure — this marks the start of the main dirt trail.
Note: from this point onward, you enter private property, so please be respectful of the surroundings.
Continue along the path until you reach various trail splits, which are indicated with signs:
The first path on the right leads to the Scuola Sector.
Just a bit further, a steep path descending to the left leads to the Piliers Sector.
Continuing on, after passing the religious statues located above Piliers, you’ll reach another right-hand trail that leads to the Vesuvio Sector, via a steep and slippery dirt track.
To reach the Mazzoccola Sector, keep following the main trail until you pass the dip between two hills. Once you reach the front slope of the next hill, you’ll see a fork: turn left onto the less obvious path.
The trail descends and becomes progressively steeper until you reach a junction on the right, marked by a blue tape on a tree and a sign saying “Mazzoccola.”
After a few minutes’ walk, helped by fixed ropes, you’ll arrive at the crag.
To access the routes located to the left of the route "The Guide", you can either:
descend a steep path with fixed ropes from the center of the crag, or rappel 20 meters from an anchor located at the base of "The Guide".
