🚶🏻To reach the Pian Bernardo crag, take the SS-28 from Ceva or Imperia toward the village of Trappa. From there, turn onto the road next to the church, following the signs for Regione Piambernardo. The road passes through the village and crosses a small bridge; continue for about three kilometers on a mix of dirt and concrete until you reach the hamlet of Pian Bernardo.
The road is narrow and not suitable for campers, which must be parked further down the valley. Cars, however, can continue and park in one of the pull-offs along the way.
After parking, follow the main road past the small Scuola Rifugio. Near a right-hand hairpin bend, leave the road and take the flat path that goes through the houses. Continue straight to the end of the hamlet, then follow the level trail leading to the Parete delle Orse sector.
Alternatively, after the Scuola Rifugio, you can keep following the uphill road until a junction. Take the second road on the left, following the signs for the crag. After a few minutes, you’ll reach a large meadow, from here, continue on the mule track to the fork leading to the Cengia Bassa and the other sectors. From this point, you’ll also find paths branching off to the Cengia Alta, the Cengietta, the Cengia dell’Olimpo.
