A truly incredible area, set in a stunning alpine environment beneath the towering slopes of Monviso. The bouldering here ranges from fifth to eighth grade, with a wide variety of problems spread across numerous boulders—many of which remain unexplored. The rock is a very coarse and aggressive type of gneiss, offering sharp and demanding holds. Climbing is usually characterized by small, biting edges and crimps that can be tough on the skin. During the summer, especially on hotter days, climbing is strongly discouraged due to the heat and the abrasive nature of the rock. The setting is idyllic: grassy meadows dotted with fresh water springs, nestled in a breathtaking valley that feels untouched and wild. This is a place for those seeking beauty, solitude, and adventure.

Le rocher est un type de gneiss très rugueux et agressif, offrant des prises tranchantes et exigeantes. The history of Ostana, apart from its very old past, really begins around 2012, when Giulio Roberti cleaned and opened up the main boulders. Even today, the potential of the area remains incredibly vast. While the long approach might not guarantee a continuous history, it’s certain that in the future we will see significant development from the locals.
