Description
Munkkiniemi is a cool city boulder area located in a small park in Munkkiniemi area, not far from the city center.
There's plenty of easy boulders, especially enjoyable slabs, to go for, and also few harder ones. The routes are mostly slabby or vertical and landings are in general good. The hight of the problems is around 3m and for most of the routes 1-2 pads is enough.
As the blocks are easily reachable and the area is quite flat in general, Munkkiniemi is a good option with children. Some blocks dry faster than others, but in general it shouldn't take super long to get dry after rain as the area is rather open.
Valtiovierailu (7A) is the most known problem in the area and definitely worth climbing! 💎
