Description

Hyllikeberg is steep for being Bohuslän. Despite its height of 10-15 meters you will feel your power running low before reaching the top. The crag is dominated by cracks through bulgy compact granite and the routes are in the seven span.

Hyllikeberg is southeast facing and is a good spot for afternoon climbing. It does no longer deserve its local name Mörkrets Hjärta (Heart of Darkness) after the clearing of the forest in front was done.

History

Hyllikeberg was discovered by Jan Pålsgård. Jan and friends made the cleaning of the routs and most first ascents.

The area is access sensitive!

Use the car parking with consideration. There is only place for two cars and should not be used during winter. Please respect that the landowner doesn't want any one to take the shortcut directly from road 162 to the crag.

Don't drive past the house further up the road on top of the hill.
