🚗 Arrival
Coming from the A8 motorway, take exit 56 or 57 and head towards the center of La Turbie. Follow Avenue de Cap d’Ail for about 250 meters. At this point, you'll see two options for parking.
• Main Car Park (recommended)
Turn left onto Route de la Tête de Chien and continue for 650 meters. You'll find large parking areas on the right-hand side of the road.
• Side Car Park (very limited and usually full unless you arrive early)
Ideal if you're heading to sectors La Roche à Roche, La Loubière, La Dalle à l’Oiseau, Do, Périphérique Ouest or Bleue.
Continue straight on Avenue de Cap d’Ail toward Monaco. After about 2.1 km, you'll find the car park on the left, on the sharp hairpin bend.
Be aware that car break-ins are common in this area. Never leave anything valuable in your vehicle!
🚶♂️ Sectors
From the Main Car Park
Walk back onto Route de la Tête de Chien, heading south. After about 1 km, the road ends at Fort Masséna. Take the descending trail that begins near the fort. It leads through a short tunnel and opens onto a flat, quarried area.
• La Prussik / La Haine
Follow the downhill path to the right. You’ll reach La Prussik just past the rockfall barriers. Continue along the wall to arrive at La Haine.
• Surplombs
From La Haine, continue along the path as it descends. After the second hairpin bend, the trail heads straight toward the sector. A small side path branches off to the right, follow this for about 5 minutes to reach Surplombs.
• La Dalle à l’Oiseau
Instead of taking the branch toward Surplombs, stay on the main descending trail. It continues directly beneath the sector.
• Do / Périphérique Ouest / Bleue
On the way towards La Dalle à l’Oiseau, you'll arrive at a sharp hairpin bend on the far right side of the sector. From here, continue descending, but about 20 meters before the next hairpin, take the trail on the left leading to Périphérique Ouest. Turn left and climb a short via ferrata to reach Do (not recommended for children). Turn right along the exposed path to reach Bleue.
• La Roche à Roche / La Loubière / La Dalle à l’Oiseau
Get to La Dalle à l’Oiseau, then continue for 250 meters.
• La Grande Face / La Paroi du Fort / Big Ben / Le Gentil
Two options to reach these sectors.
Steeper (not for children): from the quarried area, descend the steep gully to the left, beneath the fort. Narrow and exposed paths with fixed ropes lead downhill. Right to reach La Grande Face, left to reach the sectors.
Longer: 270 meters before Fort Masséna, take the road to the left to a view point. Before it, take the descending path that connects to another trail. Go right to reach Le Gentil. Better option for Le Gentil and Big Ben.
From the Side Car Park
A trail starts from the parking area and heads uphill, merging with the main path. At the junction, turn right. After 250 meters, you’ll reach La Loubière. La Roche à Roche is on the left. Continue the path to get under La Dalle à l’Oiseau. Reach the next hairpin bend and go right to take the path towards Do, Périphérique Ouest and Bleue.
