La Padôle = many many hidden Circuits and some of the best single problems! 🧗
La Padôle is one of the biggest areas in the forest without being very well known. It combines family friendly sectors and more hidden circuits in the back in the north-east of Fontainebleau. It's further away from most of the other well known areas and might be a good choice for holiday seasons like easter.
The area includes 'Les Cent Marches'. Both areas are hunting grounds from October to February so act accordingly!
The area consists of several circuits. From white kids circuits, as well as Yellow and Orange in the area of 'Les Cent Marches', to 2 blue circuits as well as 2 red circuits in the area of 'La Padôle'. Including 50 single problems graded 7a to 7c+. La Padôle has a good amount of lines for everyone!
📝 Information about naming!! (Important here):
The boulders are usually marked by the hardest circuit problem (for example Red20 or R20), followed by the second hardest (B20 = Blue20) and lest hardest (O20 = Orange20) or (Y20 = Yellow 20).
For Les Cent Marches: All boulders are marked with a "C" to find your way around easier.
For Padôle: The new Circuits (from 2020) like the Blue D and the Red TD are marked with B"1 R"1 etc. So you can distinguish these problems more easily from the other Red and Blue Circuits.
Single or important lines, will be marked by a short version of the line.
🍁 Season:
La Padôle can be climbed all year around (with the exception of hunting season). It is though recommended not to climb after rainy days in the forest because some boulders might still take a while to dry. It's close to the parking and is easily approachable with kids as well.
