⚠️ "Rock climbing in the Korouoma is restricted to the cliffs at the western end of the canyon. Getting around in the Pirunkirkko area should be avoided from May 1st to July 31st (1.5.–31.7.) to prevent disturbance to the endangered species present in the area. 🚗 1h 20min (100km) drive from Rovaniemi to Koivuköngäs Parking lot, address: Kurtankaltiontie 195, Pernu. How to get there, summer: Coming from Rovaniemi on the main road (Rovaniementie) you will see on right hand side bigger parking lot with "Posio" information boards. Just after it turn right to Kurtankaltiontie and drive some kilometers until the Koivuköngäs parking lot.

🥾 30min easy hike, mild downhill and flat easy path. From Koivuköngäs Parking Lot head to Pirunkirkko lean-to shelter. Then find a way over/a cross Korojoki river (no bridge at the moment), finally short-ish hike to the Pirunkirkko cliff.
