Kärsön is an island connected to Bromma and Lovön by bridge. The main cliff is a classical Stockholm bouldering area very suitable for beginners, consisting of one long wall with over 50 problems, mainly slab and vertical climbs on granite. Heading south west from the main wall there are also secondary zones with slab, wall and a few roof-problems. In general good landings on flat ground. There are several unmapped lakeside cliffs on the south side but in general the island is bouldering territory. Being a recreational island there are hiking paths around and across the island.

The area is access sensitive!

Park where parking is allowed. Access by bus is encouraged.

The island is a nature reserve. No fires outside fixed fireplaces. As anywhere else, no littering!

Dogs should always be on a lead, also when you are bouldering.
There has been badgers living under the main wall, close to Apblocket-area and the Slab-area.
