🚶‍♂️Hiking Directions:
For Family Hour Roof -- From the large boulder in the parking lot, walk on the right side (side closer to route 16) of the boulder between the boulder and the guard rail. Follow a faint trail down the hill in a slightly down-stream direction. This will lead you to a flat area just above talus put in place during construction of the bridge. Find a cairn marking a scramble to get down below the short cliff. Once below the short cliff head back UPstream to find the roof.

For boulders other than Family Hour Roof -- From the Hawks Nest Dam parking, walk through the gate at the back of the lot as though you are headed to the dam. Take the first right down the hill at the sign for "Hawks Nest Trail #1”. You will come up on the Far From Home Boulder and "Mary Jane" first. For The Bank Boulders, Old Gods of Appalachia Boulder, and Gift Wrapped Boulder, continue down the trail nearly to the water then follow the riverside talus UPstream. For the other lines on the Far From Home Boulder, break off the main trail to your right, just a few feet after passing "Mary Jane. For the Close To Home Boulder walk around the downhill side of the Far From Home Boulder and head DOWNstream on the talus and over a small drainage. The trail is steep and rocky. Total hiking time: 5-10 minutes.
