The acces could be closed sometimes because is private. An agreement was signed in 2009 with the Park Authority to update the restrictive regulations that had banned climbing throughout the Gaeta area. Following this agreement, the official signs posted in the Park — which had previously indicated the climbing ban — were updated. However, some of these signs were later vandalized. Still, signs prohibiting climbing in certain areas have been in place since 2008.

If you're coming from Sperlonga, follow the main road toward Gaeta. After the final tunnel, continue for a few more kilometers as the road climbs back above the sea. When you see the sign for "300 Gradini" (300 Steps), slow down and park at the next turnout marked Ultima Spiaggia. If that parking area is full, there's another one a bit further on.

If you're arriving from Gaeta, drive in the direction of Sperlonga. Just outside Gaeta, continue for a few kilometers until you see the Ultima Spiaggia sign. Park here and look for a trail that begins near the guardrail, heading toward Sperlonga. Shortly after, you'll come to a staircase that leads down to the beach.

In high season, there’s currently a €3 fee at the bottom of the stairs. Once on the beach, turn right to reach the Approdo dei Proci sector, or left for the Grotta dell'Arenauta. To get to the cave, go up a small sandy hill covered in low vegetation, then descend into the cave itself.
