❄️🌼🌞🍂
Main season for this crag is spring and autumn, summer as well as long as it's not to hot. The south faces of "Napoleon" and "Emporwand" are climbable in winter, too.
💧
Since the upper sector of "Obere Gößweinsteiner Wände" has been cleared, it dries within a few hours depending on the wind. The lower Sectors "Untere Gößweinsteiner Wand", "Martinswand" and "Schwalbenstein" need a few days.
the exposed front face of "Napoleon" dries very fast and even stay dry in light rain.
💪⚙️
Here are almost no overhangs. Climbing here stands out for it's classic style. Vertical balancy face climbs. A lot of the routes are classics and so is the patina. For routes like "Sautanz" etc. you better wait for good conditions.
"Martinswand" is one of the tallest crags in the northern Frankenjura. You need at least 70 meters rope.
👶
Besides "Obere Gößweinsteiner Wände" the sectors are unsuitable for kids. Even at "Obere Gößweinsteiner Wände" take care. Underneath is the 45 meters "Martinswand". "Martinswand" has a good base but aware of falling rocks.
